- TMEPs filing timeline (tentative): Committees on both sides of the seam continue reviewing cost allocation (MISO RECBWG/PAC; SPP CAWG/RSC/SAG), with an IPSAC touchpoint in October and a Q4 ’25 / Q1 ’26 target to file at FERC, assuming regional approvals.
- CSP study updates: The RTOs reaffirmed a broader 2024–25 CSP scope to identify reliability, resilience, and transfer-enhancing projects, with potential FERC 205 changes to enable multiple-benefit recommendations.
- FERC waiver denial, 15-year models: Because FERC rejected temporary exemptions in the JOA (multi-year analysis and regional project-avoidance metrics), MISO/SPP are building 15-year models for completion Oct/Nov; if results diverge materially from the 10-year runs, a second solution window may open. The RTOs are considering a 205 filing to support multi-benefit projects (e.g., Order 1920 benefits).
- Modeling & analysis status: Blended/combined 10-year models are posted; analysis spans reliability, transfer, economic, plus an extreme-weather sensitivity (SPP’s ITP 2025 resilience model + MISO’s blended case). Preliminary transfer and reliability issues were summarized by area.
- Solution idea window now open: Stakeholders are invited to submit transmission solution ideas and feedback on preliminary results via the form/email in the deck by Sept 5 (one idea per submission).
