Data Collection Process & Deadlines:
- Operational Resources: Those with an approved production load date will receive DocuSign emails starting February 19. All responses are due by April 1, 2025.
- Interconnection Queue Resources: Resources without an approved production load date will submit required information via a template attachment in RIOO, available from February 28.
- The meeting emphasized the fixed nature of the April 1 deadline for submitting extension or exemption requests, per the current operating guides.
Model Update & Maximization Requirements: Participants discussed the necessity of updating dynamic models to accurately reflect each resource’s ride-through capabilities in line with IEEE 2800 and other operating guide requirements. For resources with SGIA dates before August 2024, failing to meet these requirements by the specified deadlines will necessitate an extension or exemption request through the PGRR109 process.
Dynamic Model Template Update: Jonathan Rhodes presented the new dynamic model template, which includes additional fields for parameter verification and supports full-site diary file imports. This update is intended to reduce data omissions and streamline the submission process.
QSA Checklist and Submission Process: The meeting covered updates to the QSA process. A new checklist will be available on the resource integration page to assist interconnecting entities and resource entities in verifying that all dynamic models and study reports meet current requirements. Stakeholders were reminded that any modifications affecting model performance must be reviewed through ERCOT’s established procedures.
