Responsibilities
- Development and modification of grid study models and associated auxiliary data as per the RTO/ISO specific standards and latest generation, transmission and demand outlook.
- Perform Power System Studies including Grid Interconnection Screening studies for entire U.S grid.
- Automate various technical processes including model development, model modification, performing the analyses and data post processing.
- Providing external technical support including responding to clients’ queries related to the products and underlying data and features.
- Produce quality technical documents, reports, and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with a diversified product team includes Geo-Information Systems (GIS) and software team to collaborate towards product growth.
- Keep abreast of the latest analytical and computing techniques to increase the efficiency and accuracy of power systems computer simulations.
Requirements
- Minimum of master’s degree in electrical power system engineering from a prestigious institution.
- Published journal and conference articles related to power grid analytics focusing on renewable generation and transmission systems.
- Minimum 1 year of full-time working experience for US Utility, ISO/RTO, and Power Systems Consulting environments. No maximum experience limit.
- Minimum of 1 year of real-time work experience or 3 years of relevant graduate course work and research, that has resulted in published prestigious articles and/or thesis will be considered towards this requirement.
- In-depth and demonstrable understanding of the power systems basics related to load flow studies, grid interconnection studies and short circuit studies.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Python programming.

Preferred Additions
- Knowledge of North American ISO/RTO grid interconnection and corresponding planning practices, system impact studies, NERC standards.
- Immediate availability.
- Prior experience with power systems software tool including PSS/E, GE PSLF, TARA, ASPEN and/or PowerWorld.
